The Caspar Bowden PET award carries a USD $3000 prize and comes with a statue to commemorate the award. The Caspar Bowden Legacy Fund sponsors the statue.

About Caspar: Caspar Bowden worked for over 20 years tirelessly advocating for the right to privacy and freedom from mass surveillance. He believed deeply in privacy enhancing technologies as a means to protect these rights and was involved in the PETS community for most of its history. Caspar served on the PoPETs/PETS advisory board and was instrumental in both creating the PET Award and securing its initial funding.
